Piano Delights is happy to introduce you to Lynn Miclea, who passionately and joyfully plays the piano at various senior, assisted-living, memory-care, rehab, and nursing home facilities. Lynn is a professional pianist, yet she is an informal, down-to-earth, sweet person who plays the piano with joy and brings music, entertainment, and fun to her audience.
Lynn plays from her heart and from the depths of her soul. Her music covers the classics – by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, Bobby Vinton, Johnny Mathis, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Elvis, The Everly Brothers, and others – the music so many of us grew up with. She plays with much joy and passion, and her music deeply touches others.
She started playing the piano when she was three years old, and music has been a powerful and important part of Lynn’s life ever since.
Music transcends all – it goes beyond words. Music transcends language, limitation, memory, and the physical world. Music touches much more deeply and awakens something in us. It is something much greater than simply fingers moving across the piano keys. It touches our memories, our feelings, our emotions. It touches us in places that are beyond description. It reaches our spirit, our soul, our connection to all that is.
Music changes us. Without a word, it carries us outside of ourselves and opens up numerous other worlds.
Music is especially important for those residents in assisted-living, memory-care, rehab, and nursing home facilities who cannot get outside much, if at all, and who are locked inside their bodies and minds. Especially for them, Lynn reaches out and brings a flowing, liquid sound of joy, love, and passion, which is uplifting and powerful.
